Halloween Bazaar

Opens October 15th-October 31st

Green Halloween is a national movement that promotes the creative and community aspects of Halloween while suggesting alternatives to processed sugar candies at a time of epidemic childhood obesity and diabetes.
Keeping with that spirit, Green Halloween Bazaar will bring together numerous NYC artists, fashion stylists and costumers to form an alternative Halloween season culture. Various high-end “freaky” fashion designers and set-costume makers will provide items for display, purchase, or rental. A portion of all proceeds will be donated to Green Halloween NYC. The costumes will be presented as part of the newest exhibit at Gallery 151 curated by Jennifer Harris.  For this two week exhibit, Ms. Harris has selected a collection of sculptures, photographs and other mixed media that address nature’s response to humanity’s frequent attack.

During these two weeks Gallery 151 will also invite the community to participate in the activities of the gallery. All the artists of the show are encouraged to produce works within the space for the public to view as well as other artists who have a process valuable to share. The programming of Gallery 151 will continue as always being a home to daily yoga by donation, music performances, workshops, and other community participatory events.

HALLOWEEN!!!!

Halloween is about being unique, having fun and of course… looking great!  At our Scare Wear Crafting Party, we invite you and your children to join us in creatively crafting, cutting, painting, gluing and sewing a variety of materials and boring costumes into the most original NEW halloween costumes for children of all ages! Bring the little ones to this hands-on craft party, and together we will make costumes that will blow any store-bought outfit out of the water.

We supply materials, but feel free to bring your child’s costumes to alter or any material donations for others to craft with!
Healthy Kid Snacks Provided as well as live musical performances
